As well as being a proud Australian manufacturer, Tontine has a proud history of reducing our environmental impact and becoming more sustainable.

Tontine was one of the pioneers in using recycled polyester in our Tontine pillows and Tontine quilts, and have saved countless tonnes of plastic bottles from going into the ocean and landfill.

In fact, in any given twelve months, we estimate that our use of recycled polyester removes the equivalent of around 100,000,000 (100 million) 600ml plastic drink bottles from entering landfill or our waterways. Isn’t that amazing!

Where possible, we try to eliminate the use of plastic altogether, by packing products in reusable calico bags for example. And we’ve also introduced more products made from renewable natural materials, such as wool, feather and down and organic cotton.

While we know we’ve still got a way to go to become fully stainable, we are well on our way and already doing our bit to help make the world a better place for everyone.
